Nuvigil worked great for the 5 days I took it. I was on 250mg 1x per day when I started getting an itchy red rash on both of my hands. I quit taking it and two days after I quit I had to go to the Urgent Care because the rash was getting much worse. When I first switched from Provigil to Nuvigil I experienced nausea as many people reported; however, this subsided after a few days. Nuvigil works great and give me the energy I need to function but I no longer have the afternoon crash from Provigil as I often forgot to take my noontime dose.

I was on Provigil 200mg twice daily. It helped, but it is meant to only last 4 hours. You can just about set a clock to the 4 hours. It was expensive, due to insurance. Finally, my doctor put me on Nuvigil 300mg samples. It seemed to work much better and is MUCH cheaper-however, don't be surprised if the insurance company requires a sleep study if prescribed over 250mg even if the authorized P ... Show Full Comment
