Samsca makes my mother very strange. She cannot wake up and be alert on this drug. She wants to eat or talk but cannot stay alert or focused on anything. She will look at you and then zone out completely with her eyes still open but she does not see you anymore. It is scarry how this drug is making her behave. Also it is not increasing her serum sodium. She had not behaved this way ever befo

My husband had hypervolemiaand /hyponatremia & CHF, took 1 dose of Samsca, died 26hrs later [Dec 2009]. His hyponatremia level did'nt improve during hospitalization & Samsca was tried. I have reported this adverse reaction to the FDA.
