I took this medication for years, then I started to having bad stomach pains and heart palpatations. I stopped taking it and have been off of it for about one year and I am doing fine. Sleep with my bed raised up and drink more water and I am more careful of the foods I eat.

This prescription has helped me, but now my creative is below normal. So my doctor is keeping up with my kidney function. May have to stop taking Dexilant

I have been taking this medication for 5 days, Thursday-Monday. As of tonight (Tuesday) I am not taking another so I can see if this medication is causing issues. On Saturday I began to experience severe symptoms of depression, severe malaise, with suicidal thoughts. I have less burning pain in my stomach. Sunday was pretty bad as well. I have been taking this medication for 5 days, Thursday-Monday. As of tonight (Tuesday) I am not taking another so I can see if this medication is causing issues. On Saturday I began to experience severe symptoms of depression, severe malaise, with suicidal thoughts. I have less burning pain in my stomach. Sunday was pretty bad as well. Monday was a tad better but still feelings of malaise with frequent trips of going to lay in bed. Tuesday, my stomach is so bloated and hard plus, feeling constipated. Acute depression is about the same as Monday, malaise is no better...plus I burped up some straight acidic tasting burning gunk that honestly felt like some lit gasoline in my throat. By now a down day or so should be over and done with, not hanging around. After some thought I am thinking itâ??s this medication that I began taking two days before the onset of these extreme symptoms. Today I will not take and we will see if things change for the better. I will update!

After several trials of other PPI's I've found Dexilant to work the best at controlling the acid reflux with no side effects. Tecta left a strong metallic taste in my mouth that I just couldn't live with
