Other medicines e.g. Crestor and Lipitor gave me very severe muscle problems. Livalo, 2mg per day, at bedtime has suited me very well. It is considered to work really well for people of Asian descent (I am from India).

Could not take other statins because of either itching or muscle pains. Have been takin Livalo for 2 years combined #'s are good, but the cost isn't. I had a coupon from the Manufacturer, so I payed and $18 co- pay. But, now that I have Medicare it costs more if I use Medicare. If I get it as a self pay it costs almost $83 a month!

After determining Crestor caused stomach issues (bloating pain) and some general tiredness I went off Crestor fo 9 months and felt great. After checking in with total cholestrol at 220 off any meds and tryglicerides at 140 we decided to try Livalo. I have been on it (2 mil) 2-months now and seem to have no side affects which is really nice. One more month to go and I go back to have blood check
