I haven't had as Stroke yet in the 2 and 1/2 years of taking it,but I've had A-fib since I was 15 and am 63 now. That means a went 45 years w/A-fib and DIDN'T have a stroke.So now I'm told that it is imperative that I take Pradaxa and sotalol. Bottom line is $300 plus per month for the Pradaxa. I don't think I have any issues with this drug other than it has no antidote. It's easy to take and part form a bit of reflux which I take nexium for I do get a lot of aches and pains but I take other meds that can cause this. Overall I think it has to better than warfarin. Just hope they can work on an antidote in case of bleeding.

High end blood thinners like, Xarelto, Pradaxa and Eliquis have not worked for me at all. Pradaxa made me start bleeding profusly after the first week. Xarelto made me start bleeding profusly after the first day. As with Eliquis my part d does not pay for it and about 40% on the Pradaxa & Xarelto, Generic Coumadin has worked fine for a couple of years now. Home health nurse checks my PRNR' ... Home health nurse checks my PRNR's every 3 weeks now with just a finger prick. Doctor changes the dosage every now and then and I pay nothing for the generic Coumadin (Warfarin) drug or testing. It's covered. Sure beats paying $100 to $300 a month for the high end drugs. In the Eliquis ad the guy wants to up his game??? It's not a game folks

150 mg twice a day gives slights face/cheek bleeds. Maybe 150 mg a day would be best??? Also take 81 mg ASA 1/day
