My Vet prescribed this for my beloved Bubbles, a 13 year old caca-poo, and his ears were only red and irritated, not infected. After only 2 days of use, we noticed he could not hear us at all, I trusted my Vet to help my pet, NOT have him hear his favorite words of what a GOOD BOY he is. I can not believe I was not warned about this, and there is not a warning on the label at all.

Had I known that hearing loss could occur I never would have used it. My dog is 12 years old and the Vet really should have informed me of this possibility. I feel terrible that my dog trusted me and allowed me to use this drug and cause his hearing loss. I hope this condition can be reversed.

I was given this medication by my vet, for my dog's ear infection and learned after the fact that a side effect is hearing loss. She is presently deaf in both ears and have been told that this could be either just temporary or it could be permanent. I want others to be aware of this.
