After having two lithotripsy procedures and a nephrostomy to address my kidney stones, my urologist recommended Theralith XR. That was five years ago. I've been stone free since then...what better recommendation could I offer?

I've been a vegetarian with a poor eating habit since a very young age. I got my first kidney stone when I was about 15, and since them i've gotten them every 6 months to a year between stones. I started taking theralith xr about 7 months ago and it has definitely helped. I have noticed that on days that I forget to take the pills, I have a dull burning sensation in my ureter/urethra that ... Show Full Comment

This is an update. I am now taking four tablets daily with meals and have yet to experience any bad side effects. I have taken Theralith XR for over a year. At this time, I am kidney stone free. I was told by my urologist to continue and that I may add some of the high oxalate foods back into my diet in moderation. I'm thrilled to continue to be stone free! So glad I like to read the pamp ... Show Full Comment

I have been producing calcium oxalate stones on a regular basis for 35 years. At one point, I was producing 1-2 stones a year...many emergency room visits, litho treatments as well as numerous surgeries. About 7 years ago, my urologist suggested Theralith XR. At the time, he indicated that it might take up to 5 years of taking this (on a regular basis) for us to know whether it was effective. ... Show Full Comment

I suffered from a kidney stone blockage. After a stent and 3 lithotripsies, I'm down to a 4 mm stone. I have calcium oxalate stones. I asked my urologist if he thought this supplement would help me, after reading a brochure in the exam room. He answered, "Probably!" then gave me samples. He told me to start with 2 tablets daily with a meal. When I asked about side effects, he t ... Show Full Comment
