I have replaced my Simvastatin with this over a year ago. My cholesterol numbers came down within the first month. I had incredibly bad side effects from the Simvastatin. Even though red yeast rice acts similiar to the statin drugs I am not having the side effects & 100% satisfied with this product.

Doctor had me use this to lower my chlorestrol and it worked great, but I had such leg pain I had to stop running and couldn't even sit without hurting. I had not made the connection that this was a side effect. Am cutting dose in half and adding Co Q10. Hopefully a winning combo for me. Otherwise I will stop taking it. I eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly and will continue to do this.

I used red yeast rice for about two months and noticed that my knees starting aching. I could no longer run and had trouble getting up from a seated position. I am now going to get a cortizone injection on one knee and trying to use ice and advil to fix the other one.BAD DRUG
