I was tired of taking 5 calcium pills daily with my other supplements so I switched to the slow release - 2 daily after my breakfast. I like idea it's being released in my body throughout the day.

I took this drug for at least two years and then developed gastritis. I had lesions on my stomach wall diagnosed by my gastroenterologist. At the time I as also taking Boniva, so it is difficult to determine which drug was causing the pain and lesions. I took the Citracal just as prescriped and also the Boniva exactly as recommended.
