    This will be my 3rd time to take Chantix. Believe me it works. The 1st time I did experience mood changes and had to stop taking after one week. However a couple of years later I took Chantix again and it is amazing how it takes the desire for smoking away from you.     I did suffer from nausea and stomach upset - but so worth every uncomfortable minute. I am smoke free for 8 days. Chantix made the quit so easy . I will warn against drinking alcohol while taking chantix -

    I wanted to quit after 18 or so years addicted but did not want to experience the side effects of mood changes, anxiety, and longing for a smoke. Chantix has provided a relief from that and I am impressed beyond belief how well. I am on day 9 and am only experiencing minor cravings for a cig first thing in the morning and after my dinner meal.     only on the the chantix one week. Quite satidfied with the results. Has taken away desire for cigarettes. No other side affects except for stomach issues. Will consult dr next week and see if i shud continue

    Had heart attack on thrid week useing, not sure if med to blame or the years of smoking
