I'm 24 and I've been on vestura for over a year. I used to have Implanon but switched because it made me break out with cystic acne ( I never had cystic acne before). So, I started vestura and within a few months my skin cleared right up. I don't enjoy taking a pill every day but I put up with it, because there didn't seem to be any side effects for me. THEN, I started noticing some annoying fatigue, and the main problem- it's given me the sex drive of rock. Essentially, vestura killed my libido. As I mentioned at the beginning, I'm 24 so this shouldn't be an issue, and it never was before vestura. Also, there are no extenuating circumstances in my life that account for this undesirable side effect. I've been in a great satisfying relationship for over three years, and I'm not stressed. Anyways, my gynecologist confirmed this is a common issue, because the estrogen in vestura and pills alike can significantly reduce your testosterone (women need testosterone too). In conclusion, she recommended I use mirena since it has no estrogen and the hormones it does have are mostly localized to your uterus, so less goes into your bloodstream. This pill might work for others, but it didn't work for me. Why use birth control for pregnancy prevention if it causes you to not even want to have sex at all?

So i switched from Trinessa to Vestura and was expecting to be throwing up as I read in everyone else's comments but surprisingly, its day 4 and I haven't been nauseous or anything. So i switched from Trinessa to Vestura and was expecting to be throwing up as I read in everyone else's comments but surprisingly, its day 4 and I haven't been nauseous or anything. Trinessa made me feel so tired all the time and never wanting to do anything (finally after almost a year of have a very low libido, always being moody, and my periods getting heavier and heavier by the month I decided to go to the my doctor and switch) but Vestura has made me feel (for the pat 4 days at least) more energized and in an overall better mood. I haven't had a period yet but as soon as I do i will come back and post another review to try to help some people out. IT TRUELY DEPENDS ON YOUR BODY ON WHAT YOUR SYMPTOMS ARE!!

I was put on Gianvi 3 years ago to take with Accutane and continued to take it after the Accutane treatment concluded 6-7 months later. I never had issues and was switched this last month to Vestura. It is NOTHING like Gianvi. I have gained weight where I haven't gained in 2 years, my mood levels are everywhere, and I am constantly tired & lethargic when I am not normally that way.

When I first began this treatment I did break out pretty bad but it cleared up within the first 3 weeks. The ance was not the issue, but it made me a CRAZY person. I would cry and had suicidal thoughts at least 3 times a week. I am a pretty stable and responsible person but I was making my loved ones around me really uncomfortable because I went from a happy personality to emotional and depressed. ... Show Full Comment

I would cry and had suicidal thoughts at least 3 times a week. I am a pretty stable and responsible person but I was making my loved ones around me really uncomfortable because I went from a happy personality to emotional and depressed. I had to discontinue using after 2 months because I just could not stand the suicidal thoughts and being depressed. The pill itself did what it needed to do but at the well-being of my health and happiness I had to stop using it.

I've been taking Vestura for about six months now and I've actually lost about 20lbs. My periods are very light and only last two days at max... sometimes its only one day. The only issues I've had were migraines & vomiting (reason for majority of weight loss), and also dehydration. So drink your water ladies and hydrate your skin or else you will turn into flakes.
