My doc prescribed this for me as an alternative to medication. I have many gastric issues ( a gift from my dad). Barrett's esophagus, GERD, ulers, IBS. After 3 weeks of taking Vascepa, I felt like I needed my gall bladder out again. Intense upper stomach pain. After research, I found 7% of individuals with stomach issues have this reaction.

Second time taking Vascepa. After switching doctors had to go through a whole bunch of different drugs that had side effects or had no effect. Back on Vascepa now and my first lab work after 4 months taking Vascepa showed normal Triglycerides for the first time in my adult life.

Problem is COST. Turn 65 and drug goes form $80 to $800 per three months. Manufacturer does not help if your over 65.
