Doc prescribed this for my 7 year old son as trileptal. New doc went to oxtellar xr to prevent highs and lows. Treatment is actually for a mood disorder to control outbursts and aggression. It is the best we have had. It at least gives us a chance so he can counsel with an ABA. Although if he gets emotional enough he still can have smaller outbursts. Less physical though. I say its worth a try if

I have had until this medication; an extensively worse sort of NERVE PAIN, Limb, body, head nerve pain. I, like many people now, have our life's back honorably & gratefully. Now my medications are cut to this one and my daily multivitamin. I am a person who owns 4 separate businesses and have young kids of our own. This has changed my life. Was on trileptal for nerve pain. Made me very tired and occasionally I would have dizzy spells. Did not have with Oxtellar.
