I am 18. I have been taking Kava for about a week. I use the ground up root from various sources. After using 6 tablespoons of the powder in 2 cups of water and a cup of milk, I drink the mixture over an hour or so. After I'm done, my social anxiety disappears, and I feel like I want to melt into my chair.

After drinking kava kava 1-2 x per week for 6 weeks I had an allergic immune response called eosinophilic gastroenteritis . I had no skin reaction. This condition is extremely rare, you can google it, unpleasant and painful in the hospital for 10 days on high dose steroids. Inflammation caused a partial bowel obstruction. Used herbal products with caution
