This inhaler is ABSOLUTE CRAP. My son has moderate, persistent asthma and has since age 3. When he was using his old inhaler, 2 puffs he was good for hours. On this one, he is going through it twice as fast and still not getting relief. He uses my inhaler, he is fine. His inhaler $75.00 co-pay. My inhaler (not covered by insurance) $30.00.

I use Proaire for exercise-induced asthma and for fast-acting problems from allergy induced asthma as well. I have used the standard Proaire inhaler for years and at times, have been given albuterol in its place. I am not a fan at all. The pump is difficult to use. I had too watch a video on YouTube while I was having difficulty breathing. The medication took several minutes to work. All the deep inhaling caused chest pain. I had to purchase an inhaler over the counter until I was able to obtain a prescription for the standard inhaler.

Seems as though it barely makes a difference. I still feel like I'm suffocating after use. Would prefer to go back to albuterol aerosol puffer that worked.
