I have had horrific, terrifying dreams and wake up feeling panicked. I was feeling that before the drug (panicky upon waking), but this is so much scarier. Feel agitated, angry, (not like hurting myself or anyone), but in a bad mood. Irritable. I do not like these feelings and my depression has been greatly affected negatively because of this medication even with it being at .5 mg. No more for me!

I feel even better then I did with Abilify, am losing weight by eating celery and drinking smoothies so I do not see weight gain as a problem.

Horrible. My doctor put me on a trial .5 dose. For the first few days I felt energetic and calm -- like my feelings of dread and anxiety were going down. Then I started feeling flu-like symptoms and I just assumed I had caught a cold. The "cold" progressed for but also brought with it severe panic attacks. Then I started feeling flu-like symptoms and I just assumed I had caught a cold. The "cold" progressed for but also brought with it severe panic attacks. The Rexulti was the only new drug in my system, so I determined it to be the culprit. After 20 days of being on a .5 dose, I had to stop because of the panic attacks. It is now day 12 of my stopping the drug (advised by my doctor,) and I am in a crippling depression, have flu-like symptoms, am sweating profusely, can't sleep, and when I do, it's way too much. It also, like most mood stabilizers, messed with my blood sugar. Considering not seeing my doctor over this treatment call, and am mourning my life.

I have been taking Rexulti for 3 weeks. Awesome medication. I finally feel "normal". My body, mind and soul feel in sync for the first time in a long time. My energy level is steady through the the day, more positive and neutral thoughts come to me instead of being flooded with negative and damaging thoughts throughout the day. I was prescribed 2mg in the beginning which I felt like I was on top of the world but the weight gain was fast and a lot, 10 pounds. Then I was reduced to 1mg thinking it would stop the weight gain but I gained 7 more pounds and became depressed over the weight gain. Now I am the biggest I have ever been outside of being pregnant over 23 years ago and was taken off. I went from 125 to 137 pounds ... Show Full Comment

I was prescribed 2mg in the beginning which I felt like I was on top of the world but the weight gain was fast and a lot, 10 pounds. Then I was reduced to 1mg thinking it would stop the weight gain but I gained 7 more pounds and became depressed over the weight gain. Now I am the biggest I have ever been outside of being pregnant over 23 years ago and was taken off. I went from 125 to 137 pounds in less than two months. I will be trying Latuda along with prozac. Hopefully it helps.
