It lowered my cholesterol a lot better than statins and has fewer side effects. The main problem I have with it is muscle pains, mostly at night. But I was really happy to hear that my cholesterol has finally gone down to a good place after many years and it took approx. 6 months. I recommend using this instead any statin.

I just want to say that if statins gave you problems then Repatha may also give you problems. Do a web search on "Repatha and peripheral neuropathy". Most people would rather die early because of high cholesterol than live with the peripheral neuropathy that cholesterol lowering drugs can cause.

I took the 2 weekly injections for about 8 months. My went down to 71. BUT the side effects were so bad, I stooped after my last injection in September 2017. Side effects started with thick white mucus and coughing. Then the feet and leg swelling, HUGE, could not wear any shoes. One morning woke up choking on thick, sticky, white stringy mucus, that I had to actually pull from my throat. GROSS. No
