Was on OxyContin 10mg and was put in xtampza. I’m also on tramadol. I have chronic severe neuropathy. Atypical facial. It’s called the suicide disease. OxyContin saved me. But, I don’t want to take 2 pain killers. I was thinking of going off tramadoland only taking xtampza. Any thoughts anyone?

I had been taking oxycodone for a number of years and itâ??s effectiveness was beginning to lessen. Because the government, in its infinite wisdom, had already reduced the amount I could take my doctor prescribed Xtampza Er 27mg. Absolutely the worst pain medication. No relief, diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, weakness, lightheaded, anxiety. You also have to give up a healthy diet for a high fa ... Show Full Comment

I have been on less than a month probably 50% pain relief. I am hoping side effects wear off when on longer, I am dizzy, light head, overly sleeping during day but cant sleep at night. (Alot of mini naps) nausea, loss of appetite, anxiety/restlessness and agitation prior to my next dose of 12hr . Only on 9mg every 12 hrs.

I was switched to Xtampza ER from OxyContin by Insurance. Was surprised to find that it works pretty well for me. I take 13.5 MG every 12 hours and it takes the edge of pain from Stenosis, chronic disc disease and sciatica. Does not take away all pain but allows me to continue working at 73. Problem I've found is most pharmacy's don't carry it. CVS is the only one in my area that doesn ... Show Full Comment
