Side effects were diarrhea and some stomach cramping. I had a slight headache during the infusion with a slight nosebleed. Today was my first treatment so I don't know if it is going to work yet.

I have had the infusion 3 times, each time a frontal headache, back pain and nausea for a couple of days afterwards. The day of the infusion I have nausea and take zofran with IV Ativan. The first time I had the infusion the next day I did feel a lift, since, nothing like that and more symptoms of headache, backache, chills and nausea. very hard on my veins,had to have new jelco put in each time and kidneys ache after three doses, urine becomes very strong smelling foul odor ,symptoms of uti after 4 doses

I received 8 treatments in 2007, then had 8 treatments in 2008, I have recently began another courser of Ferrlicit- had my 3rd dose yesterday. This time around I am having 4 doses then I will wait a month to finish the course. I usually do one treatment a week for 8 weeks. For some reason I cannot absorb iron through my stomach. I started with a feeling of light-headiness,next came the nausea and severe cramps from the right side of my body into the back area and onto my left side.
