For the first week or two while taking Odactra, I had minor symptoms that got better with each day. I experienced a very itchy throat for the most part, but I also had swelling of my lingual frenulum. That eventually subsided though. It's been almost a year now and my biggest complaint is that this stuff tastes horrible. It is not a pleasant taste, but at least it's easy to use. I just pla

Odactra has helped me with my dust mite allergies. Side effects of drug are noted within the first week of starting therapy. Side effects were mild itching, stuffy nose, and decreased taste. After the second week, side effects were gone. Be sure to wash hands when you hold the wafer and place under your tongue everyday. My dust mite allergy symptoms have been decreased by 50% thus so far sinc

I took this medication for 20 days. After the first week my skin started itching and I started breaking out from my neck up. After the second week it continued to get worse. I called my doctor, who told me to double up and take a Zyrtec in the morning and Allegra at night. By the 20th day I called my doctor back and said, I am not taking it any more. I have been using this for one month. Seems like this has killed my tastebuds as I cant taste any of my food, the insides of my mouth feels like its cut up and it burns something serious when I use mouth wash. I haven't seen much effectiveness but my Dr said give it 3 months. Not much itchiness from the first 2 weeks of use but the numb feeling is still there.

My initial reaction in the doctor's office was an itchy throat that lasted for at least 2 hours. After 4 days, my reaction to this medication including swollen tongue, inflamed and itchy throat and roof of my mouth. It was a frightening experience so I stopped. There is no build up period for this medicine like sublingual drops. The side effects are too uncomfortable to continue.
