Been taking for a number of years without complication but now every time I take it my chest gets tight and moves up to my throat feeling as though I am having an asthma attack.

Was on Nexium for 3 years. Drug program switched me to pantoprazole which I have been using for at least another 4 years. Both have worked very well. Friends say I should be aware of long term effects which I have not had. Love it, stopped the gerd in days and has not returned.

On it for a week now and have had terrible headaches since I started. However my sore throat and heartburn from gastric reflux are much better. Have another appointment with Dr. in 3 weeks. Will discuss headaches if still suffering from them.
