My sixteen year old has been on this for several years. It has been a God-send. She had been having severe rages and when we switched to metadate they decreased considerably. She is up to 70 mg of extended release each motning. Her rages seem to be returning even though we increased to 70 but we're trying some guanfacine in the afternoons now.

Took it for about a year. Mood disturbances, depression, loss of appetite , headaches, stomach aches. Aggitation when increased dose. Not a lot of help for ADHD symptoms.

I had trouble with mood swings. I couldn't figure out why my anger was quick and unreasonable. I started 10mg and went to 20mg. I have backed down to 10mg, but want to try something different. I'm not comfortable with it. I am prescribed this for short fuse, and it made it basically worse. Adult possible ADD. NOT FOR ME ! Eat when you feel any sign to or you will pay for it later in day.
