Our 8 month old daughter was started on Keppra in 04/2013. Saw some relief from seizures at first. Now seeing more seizure activity and its different than before. She is now almost 18 months old and is showing signs of aggression and mood changes.

My Mother was given keppra in the hospital and lost her mind. She was awake all night and she thought she was in the fourth grade of school. She kept seeing things. So when she got home, I cut it in half and so far she is ok. But I don't like giving it to her.

She has been on Keppra since air flight to ER and does not take anything else! She had not enough result from Zantac and reacted with rash to trilipital so we stopped those and have been doing better. So, Keppra for about 2years and when moved up dosage then behavior upped too with a lot of aggression and more up and down days. Went back down and saw improvement. She does have breakthrough se ... She does have breakthrough seizures, but better than seeing her on cart and then in helicopter and almost losing her! Lower med level also means we can accomplish school too! So far, so ??! Will be happy when they can DX her and give us better action plan for long term! Also, clear liquid so no ruined clothes and smell and taste are better than any others or even some cold meds we have had so we are happy with that!

Was prescribed Keppra for my seizures, and found it was actually increasing the frequency and causing me to gain weight. I had gone from having a seizure every two weeks to a month to having them every 4 days, with lots of Aura's, or near seizures. After talking to my doctor, he increased my dosage, which brought on anger and hostility feelings and kept it at every four days. I knew somethin ... Show Full Comment

I knew something was wrong, and just stopped taking the drug, which was such an improvement. Anger issues went away, and my seizures went back to every month. This was not a good drug for me, and I wish it had never been prescribed.
