I took this medication 8 years ago. I was on it for 52 weeks. It was very hard because I worked full time as a hairstylist. I sleep a lot when I wasn't at work. I got very weak. Lost weight, had hair loss. But what I've found out since then is that I have bone loss in my mouth. This is a side affect. So my teeth are lose now. But it did work for me. I don't think anyone can understand ... Show Full Comment

I was on Pegintron and Ribaviron ( 600mg daily) with the shots weekly. This was the most difficult medication I have ever experienced. The side effects can be and are severe. The weekly shots make you feel like you have a very bad flu; fever, chills, N/V, severe mood swings and severe fatigue. Very similar to having a very bad flu. 1 side effect or these drugs are the histamine releases that I experience from contact with substances that were never an issue before, ex. latex allergy; hives, rashes, itching. Benedryl works but you find new irritants where y ... Show Full Comment

    Comment:
This medication is very dangerous to someone who has mental problems. My sister-in-law took this and had severe mental outburst and a deadly threat to herself and society. Be very careful of out of control personality. I do not recommend it - not worth the risk.
