I have been bi-polar for decades, and Geodon with Effexor have stabilized my mood changes. I no longer have depression or manic episodes.

I took Geodon for 5 years. I started at 40mg a day and increased it to 160mg a day over the course of a year. For the first few months, it was incredibly difficult. I was completely sedated and would sleep minimum 13-14 hours a day. It was near impossible for me to work let alone take care of my 2 year old son. Geodon is a great, stabilizing medication, if you are a professional and want to be productive. Although, it is not a quick solution. You have to be patient and give it a long time to work. It does have side effects. This review tells how I worked around them. I was on Geodon for my mixed, rapid-cycling bipolar disorder for over seven years.
