I'm allergic to penicillin so the doctors will always proscribe the Z-pack for sinusitis or any bacterial infection. It does cause some diarrhea but I'm usually feeling way better before I even finish the pack! I have had a relapse once where I finished the pack, thought I was better, and then a week later I had the same symptoms (I didn't get another pack), but that was my only bad ... Show Full Comment

This medicine made me feel like I was dying. Complete exhaustion, depression, diahrea which lasted weeks after stopping it. Muscle aches etc. My dentist perscribed it prior to a root canal. I always have taken erythromycin with no issues. I will never take this med again.

The "Z-pack" took me from feeling like I was coming apart at the seams with symptoms to feeling better every day. I was ready for the ER until I took this. No side effects suffered except for some slight dizziness in the Morning that lasted about 20 seconds, approx once each day (so far for a week). My experience was a good experience. This Anti-biotice brought me tremendous relief.

Was prescribed a z pak for a sinus infection (male, 46 year old, generally good health). The next day, following the taking of the first dose, which was 2 pills, I experienced some heart rhythm issues, which resulted in shortness of breath. It should also be noted I took cough syrup with codeine the previous evening too. Not sure if one or the other could be contributing to the heart rhythm iss ... Show Full Comment

I've taken this medication before but this is the first time I have experienced the following symptoms: dizziness, weakness, headache, and the blahs or slight depression. The only symptom I remember having before was the bad taste in my mouth. I'm hoping that with my last dose this evening these symptoms will end soon.
