I have had generic Norco (either 5 mg or 7.5 mg) many times over the years, either 'Actavis' or 'Watson' Brand and have done just fine with zero side effects. I have had generic Norco (either 5 mg or 7.5 mg) many times over the years, either 'Actavis' or 'Watson' Brand and have done just fine with zero side effects. Last month I was prescribed the generic form again for my chronic cervical degenerative disc issues and when I received my rx from Walgreens, the manufacturer was listed as "Mallinckrodt". I've never heard of them. I took the prescribed one tablet and about 30 minutes later I felt the pain ease a bit, but I also developed extreme dizziness. I was in the middle of doing work on my computer and had to stop. And as I walked over to the couch I felt the room was spinning. I had to lay down and just close my eyes. I then started feeling very nauseated, which ended up continuing several hours. I had already eaten before the medication, so it was taken on a full stomach. I also then developed extreme drowsiness, like I just could not keep my eyes open. I felt like I took a sleeping pill or something. I could not wait for this thing to wear off! When I finally started feeling a little better several hours later, I went back on my computer and searched WebMD and started reading all these negative reviews where people have listed the same manufacturer, "Mallinckrodt" with the exact same side effects!!!!! This pill eased my pain some, about as much as the Tylenol 4's I've been on, but these horrible side effects outweigh that, so I was left with a month's worth of pills that I cannot take and have been left to deal with the pain until I go for my one month follow up to get a new script! I did like others mentioned and went to the FDA website and reported this. I called my Walgreens and got the Lot Number and other info from the bottle and told them I wanted it noted that I never get this manufacturer again!!!! Whatever "fillers" they're putting in these pills seem like poison to me!!!! Ridiculous!!!!

If the medication is from Mallickrodt don't even waste your time it's absolute junk, like a placebo. Absolutely worthless and does nothing for pain. Out of the past 12 mos. I've only gotten 2 scripts that seemed legit and worked. I don't know how in the heck they're getting away with this crap, the FDA is NOT doing their job.

I have been taking 10/325 mg HYDROCO/ACETAM for 5 years without a problem as long as the drug is made by MAL. A couplease of times Walmart Pharmacy, where I get my medications, changed companies where they purchased the drug and that drug did NOT work. I have been taking 10/325 mg HYDROCO/ACETAM for 5 years without a problem as long as the drug is made by MAL. A couplease of times Walmart Pharmacy, where I get my medications, changed companies where they purchased the drug and that drug did NOT work. I told the Pharmacist, and he said he had several of the same complaints, so he went back to the other company MAL, and the medicines is working again. I have been with Walmart Pharmacy for 42 years, so the Pharmacy personal know me.I think some companies are cutting back on medication to stop addiction, I don't know though, but somethings wrong!!

I currently take 7.5/300 mg hydro/acetaminophen (mfg TRIS) with no side effects at all. B4, when the mfg was Mallincrodt(7.5/325), they also were effective INITIALLY. That mfg. changed SOMETHING bcuz the last 3 scripts I had seemed like a PLACEBO!!! I had my Dr chng to 7.5/300

I have taken this medication for about 10 years for back problems and 5 knee surgeries. It was wonderful and worked fine for years. HOWEVER the last 2 times I got this filled there was a HUGE difference in the med not working as effectively as it had before.
