I chose to take the estradiol patch as an alternative to the antidepressant drugs that doctors so easily prescribe for low mood/depression caused by the decrease in estrogen during menopause. I have been Menopausal for over 2 years and had been experiencing sadness, low mood, irritability and aggression, brain fog, weight gain and insomnia. This product is very easy to use and apply. The patch stays on through showering and even during swimming ! I do not get a rash from the patch and change the location regularly as the instructions recommend. The adhesive circle that remains on my skin afterwards is the most annoying feature of the patch but I remove it with nail polish remover which works well. I did get some annoying 'menstrual cramps' and bleeding during the second month of taking the patch, but I think I was just adjusting to the estrogen. I am hoping the cramping and bleeding won't return. I haven't had a hot flash since using this product and I have had no other negative effects so far. Overall, I found my mood improved a lot while using the patch and so did my sleep. I will definitely continue to use this product to help continue to relieve the difficulties and negative symptoms I was experiencing with the onset of Menopause.

Sad that they are allowed to sell this to people who get “stuck” using it! When the patch is new and freshly out of the package it works well to control my hot flashes and I feel great. Given that I shower or bathe every day, it doesn’t stick afterwards. It really makes me mad since I can only get a prescription filled every 4 weeks when I need it filled every week! This is my solution I will use until it’s time to refill and I will tell the pharmacy I no longer want this brand. Every day before my shower I peel the patch off and when I reapply it (when I’m clean and dry) I use paper tape to hold it in place. Every couple days I peel the paper tape off and reapply that to the patch. But sometimes the patch will rip no matter how careful I am. Controls hot flashes but garbage, doesn’t stay stuck, holds moisture between skin and patch leaving a smelly red irritated circle on my body.

I´m just started with the Estradiol patch by Mylan because the Farmacy doesnt provide DOTTI patch any more, and in the first patch that I used, I had problems to sleep, I had a acute pain in my left breast, hot flashes came back, so I understand that we all react different to the same thing, so Mylan is not for me.Thanks

patch doesn't stay on. leaves red, itchy, painful spots on skin. many times I have to remove the patch within hours of putting it on because it is itching so bad. this patch is horrible. my lower abdomen in covered in red patches. it does not stay on if placed on buttocks.

Received the Mylan brand in my last refill. Dosage was working fine and was happy previously. The new batch...they must be using cheap adhesive. Horrible itchy after a few hours and big welt. Has nothing to do with drug. Poor manufacturing.
