I suffered for 3 years after gall Bladder removal getting steadily worse. I got to the stage of being afraid to go anywhere and then had a very embarrassing accident. I saw a new doctor who suggested Questran I have to take it twice a day - but now I have my life back and feel like a normal person. I suggest anyone trying it to persevere - its a wonder drug !! Why don't they tell you this can ... Show Full Comment

Just started using it - side effects are awful - severe headache, ache, gas, fatigue, doubt that I will continue if I can get Imodium. Doctor failed to tell me about the diarrhea after gallbladder removal. I've had IBSD for 60 yrs now adding this to it Ill stay home and be miserable. Not worth all the side effects and malabsorption!

Like many stories here, I too had my gallbladder removed to suddenly find myself having severe diarrhea and gastric cramps after eating. I was prescribed this medication and it works wonderful. I only take a single dose in the morning. If you take this medication, just make sure you take it two hours before or four hours after other medications, as it interferes with most meds.
