    Lavender Skye, I just found your post now; am hoping you will see this: My son was put on Theo-dur capsules (around the clock) when he was in pre-school and was on it for several years. At the time, we were so desperate for something to help his asthma that we felt we had no choice. It did seem to help to prevent wheezing.     I have taken Theo-Dur 300 mg. extended release for over 40 years for my asthma, bronchospasms, and bronchitis - always with excellent results.

    I for years was told that this medicene was a steriode.I was on this med for several years I was very skinny and after taking this med for extended periods I became overwieght and have been dealing with that issue ever since and I still was in the hospital several times due to asthma issues I wish my doc never gave this med to me.

    My son was give this medication for asthma at the age of 1 year old. No matter what food you sprinkle the capsul contents the medication tastes horrible (I tasted it myself). He has been a picky and suspicous eater ever since. He is now 22 and has medical and mental issues that I feel are related to his taking this medication at such an early age.
