When I first took this I was violently sick approx 10mins after. Wrenching bile, the body obviously rejecting this medication. Went back to the Doctor and he then prescribed an anti sickness tablet, this had no effect. I stopped taking it all together. Diagnosed with sphenoid sinus infection and chronic ear infection. I was prescribed this medication by an ENT after two concurrent sinus infections and chronic ear infection. I had finished 2 rounds of antibiotics (Zpak) without success. I am currently on the last week of a 4 week dose of Augmentin. I feel much better, ear pain and itch is gone, sinus are much better. Left shoulder and left knee became so stiff and swollen I could not walk and had LOTS of pain! Stopped the drug; now 2 weeks later and knee still is stiff and will not work! How long before drug side effects go away ?
