Initially had severe stomach cramps and nausea. By day 2, I broke out in a very minor case of hives. Next 3 doses were ok - just nausea. After the 7th dose, broke out in hives all over lower half of my body. Doc told me to stop and gave me another antibiotic.

I was prescribed this medication to deal with my acute headaches that my allergist decided was due to a sinus infection. While the medication itself did the job within half the prescribed time, watch out for the severe reactions this can cause in many people. I was prescribed this medication to deal with my acute headaches that my allergist decided was due to a sinus infection. While the medication itself did the job within half the prescribed time, watch out for the severe reactions this can cause in many people. With me, the intestinal flora were pretty much destroyed and I was stricken with acute abdominal pain for over a week. Doctors not being able to adequately and thoroughly treat the pain was another problem. Thankfully, my gastro-intestinal specialist was intelligent enough to suggest that in addition to the regular lacto-bacillus that I was using, I should add another probiotic that contains Bifido bacteria (you can get this at your local Whole Foods). That did the trick and I was up and about within 24 hours !

Today is day 5 of treatment for a sinus infection. I have had no bad side effects from this med. I think it is a great drug!!!

Worked great on the sinus infection; however, horrible headache everytime I moved my head, or coughed, . . any movement.
