as long as I take a probiotic and eat yogurt every day during the treatment, the diarrhea is not as bad. Also, I must take it with food or I have severe vomiting. but it worked good against a sinus infection

No side effects noted after four days of taking this medication. By the way: save your money if you are prescribed a "Z-Pak", my personal experience is that it is NOT near as effective as a 7-10 day antibiotic, such as Augmentin.

It cleared up a very persistent sinus infection promptly. It did cause diarrhea which kept me grounded to the house. This can cause an unexpected hardship for most people.I had the sinus infection for a very long time thinking it was allergies, the treatment was worth the inconvienence for me.

Within 4 hours of the first dose I had a loose stool (uncommon for me), with 12 hours EXTREME diarrhea. I have been so sick with the sinus infection I don't want to stop the antibiotic and have started using Pepto-Bismol to get relief, I hope all of this works.

This is the first time I have ever taken this medication and the last. I can tolerate it but I have an upset stomach on and off all day. It worked fast to relieve my symptoms of my sinus infection but the upset stomach isn't worth it.
