I was on Premarian for 7 years and when the cost went up this year I switched to Estradiol. As soon as it hits my stomach instant pain, hot flash/sweat and burning. It will go away after awhile. I've tried also taking with food and as long I take as I finish eatings it is not as bad.

I started taking after a complete hysterectomy. 1mg a day for a year with the only side effect was a little enlargement of breasts. Then I reduced to 1/2 mg a day for a year. With no issues. But when trying to stopcompletely I experience mood swings and mild hot flashes. I consulted my doctor and I reduced to taking only 1/2 every other day to see how it worked and I have been doing great for me
