I had foot surgery and developed a little bit of an infection with my incision. I've taken this drug before but don't remember having any side effects, this time it's caused me to be extremely sensitive to sun light even after just a few minutes of being outside. My legs look like someone punched me a million times and has busted the capillaries, my arms itch so bad and look like i rol ... Show Full Comment

I started taking Bactrim DS for a cyst infection. Within three doses, I woke to my upper lip super swollen and hurting. I kept taking it (8 doses) and now I have blisters all the way across my lips. I have discontinued it and have a call into my doctor. It is so painful.

I stared taking Bactrim for an infected cut on my finger. After four doses my finger felt a lot better but the side effects are bad. Horrible headache, sore throat and my knees hurt so bad it's hard to walk. Going back to the doctor to get something else, I will never take this again.

Had an immediate and severe reaction to a rose thorn that punctured my finger. Digit was red, hot and swollen. After one dose of Bactrim, swelling started to subside. Within 2 days of starting treatment, finger looks and feels normal. I've experienced some nausea, but make sure I eat before taking and that seems to help.
