I have severe neuropathy in my hands and my whole legs and feet caused by my treatment., I can't write due to it among other activities and can't walk more than 30 feet, I have a cane and wheelchair that assists me though. The neuropathy isn't the only reason/side effect that ailes me to take msir. This medicine along with its 24 hour sustained release sister "******" has been a godsend and I can get back to trying to get better and stronger. The two medicines help so much I can get back into hobbies a couple minutes every couple of days and once in awhile play video games with a friend. It also helped so much I was able to study a lot and get my ged and allows me to push through physical therapy. I tryed other meds but the old basic morphine is tried and true and remains the gold standard. Too bad it has a bad reputation and some people out there who actually need it can't get it because a few people are idiots and abuse it and make regulations worse for everyone. I keep everything involving medicine except chemo to myself, I recommend you do too, its no ones business. Sorry about some of the censors and lack of details I am trying to keep some anonymity. It's not by any means perfect but it gets progress done and relieves a lot of my pain. Hopefully I won't have to take it forever and be back to normal...

I take this med for failed back syndrome,laminectomy (L5-S1),2003, and L Radiculopathy. I feel it works well, I have been on 30mg,QID,for about 5 years. No bad side effects. The only problem is I am starting to become tolerant, so I only get about 2 hours relief, which isn't much in 24 hrs. Some people freak out when I tell them I am on Morphine, but my NP at the Pain Clinic says there is not ... Show Full Comment

I have been on pain medications since 2006 so I am hoping this helps. I was taking oxycodone for years but the availablity has been too much of a problem and I go to the same pharmacy every month. Not to mention this is much cheaper and I have no insurance. I hope this continues to help me. I want to slowly get down to a point I am not taking so much medication due to constipation. I hate drinking magnesium citrate and giving myself enemas regurally. Does anyone have any suggestions. I eat healthy, I exercise as much as I am limited too, and drink tons of water. I am so over being constipated, I don't know what is worse the pain or constipation???!!!! Any suggestions of those taking pain meds, how do you get relief? I am desperate please. Sincerely, CONSTIPATED!!!!!
