After a year on Topamax, recently stopped using it because the side effects had changed from bothersome and annoying to serious. Have been on Divalproex for 5 weeks. I take this medication for migraines and fibromyalgia pain contol. It has work well for migraines. It gives me moderate control of muscle stabing and aching pains in legs and arms. On bad days the spasms in body feel like little electric shocks. I take up to 5 500 pills a day which makes swallowing them difficult on a day with nausea.

I was taking Depakote until the med by mail sent me the generic. So far it has not changed my migraines and I've had a couple dizzy spells since starting the divalprovex
