I needed a rx that included everything trinscon had due to lack of intrinsic factor and having celiac disease (undiagnosed until 70 years of age). Now the drug is no longer available unless you all know of such a drug CVS could get for me.

I also have taken this medication for a gastric bypass that was done in 1994. At that time I was on 2 capsules a day, and was very ill to my stomach, the Doctor cut me back to 1 daily, and have been on since. As stated in the side effects, you can tell if it is being digested.

I have been taking this for 13 years due to gastric by pass surgery to help with weight loss. I have not experienced any bad side effects with Trinsicon. My blood work has always been good, except for when I quit taking the capsules for about a year, and then I became anemic with low iron & folic acid. I take one 2 times a day.

I experienced an extremely uncommon side effect while using Trinsicon. I had almost dibilitating muscle weakness and pain. Especially the long muscle in the front of my upper leg (thigh).
