    I was given this medication to take as i had mild case of 'Proctitis' (10mg a day) and WOW! within days my inflammation was gone, and my skin rashes dissapeared my complextion became unblemished, my face became more rounder a looked 21 (instead of 38) i felt confident i had huge amounts of energy with very little sleep i looked and felt better.     My doctor prescribed MethyIPREDNISolone to correct a sinus problem that lingered for 30 days without an infection. I wish I consulted WebMD before taking the medication. I thought it would increase my immune system, apparently it does the opposite!     Our 2 1/2 year old was prescribed this for an allergic reaction to something unknown to us this time and got the same reaction as last time when he had an anafulactic reaction to peanut butter and was given this. He was bouncing off the wall and very aggressive and cried over everything.(unlike him) I can say it did work to stop the swelling and hives and it was easy to administer but, he only too ...     Very recently diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy (Berger's Disease). Prednisolone (50mg daily) was prescribed (along with blood pressure medications) in an attempt to reduce inflammation of the kidneys by suppressing my immune system somewhat.     The dr. prescribed this for my 4 yr. old. I was told he had a sinus infection. He had a bad cough and was wheezing so they gave him a breathing treatment at the drs. office. He did not have any side effects. His behavior did not change as stated in other reviews. He was also put on an antibiotic.
