After a few years of not taking any medication for arthritis, my doctor started me on this drug. I take 2 pills twice a day. After 6 weeks, I went to 3 pills twice a day and experienced muscle burning and a stiff neck within 2 days of increasing. I have since gone back to 2 pills twice a day. Sulfazine has healped me with joint pain greatly. This was most noticable with my finger joints aching and being tender which has been greatly reduced by the drug. This stuff is relatively cheap and it's working for me and I've experienced no side effects at all as far as I can tell and regular blood testing by my doc has shown no problems. Takes 4-5 weeks to give maximum relief. The nausea factor is high; make sure to take an appropriate antacid.
