Increased prostate; urination problems. Am taking 1 avodart + 1 Flomax. Flow increased. Blood sugar increased much! Anyone having that problem? Also, breast mass growing to embarrassing size. I just finished having cataract surgery. Was informed by my dr. that having taken this drug makes this surgery much more difficult and risky.

Have had success with Avodart. It has helped my urinary frequency at night,dropped my SPA level.Even with the side effects,I've been on it for 3 years. I have recently developed purple toenails and wonder if there is a connection.Plz let me know if anyone has heard of this, thanks.

I've taken Avodart for two years. I did see improvement in symptoms. I also had side effects that I was willing to live with for a while. They were impotence, and total loss of semen. I did have a good side effect, some hair regrowth. I recently discontinued it and went to herbal remedies. I take 320mg Saw palmetto, 250mg Pygeum, and 950mg stinging nettle (check with you Doctor on this).
