The communication from my doctor was very poor. They do not prepare you for the after effects. Should be honest and provide products for the burning and pain afterwards. The actual blu-light procedure was annoying but not painful. As others have stated, like holding your face in front of an open oven door. Manageable. But I was unprepared for the awful pain for 2 days afterwards. Had chills and na

I can't believe in the other reviews that their medical practitioner didn't provide cooled air to blow on their face or arms during the Blu-light phase.

Excellent Results - Very pleased. I realize everyone's experience is different, but this was a very effective treatment for me. Major areas of pre cancer on face and scalp ( dry flaking bumps, red spots, etc ) which had been frozen more times than I can count. One derm was a cutter and he took many biopsies (all negative). With a history of skin cancer, I agreed to have this procedure in an effort to stave off future surgeries. They applied the Levulan and waited an hour then did the BLU light for 16 minutes. It felt like a blow torch on my face, but the worst was yet to come. This is Day 8. My skin has peeled multiple times. Four areas have bled. The pain and burning has been unbelievably intense. This was the most painful thing I've ever done on purpose. While under the light it felt like a blowtorch on my face. Was pretty painful for about 3 days, and peeled for several weeks after. When it was all over though, my skin looked much better, so I can't say I'm dis-satisfied. Given my experience, I will not be doing this again though.
