I had been depressed on and off since my childhood. This medication has worked very well to minimize my depression. I began taking 20 mg. 19 years ago. For the first 2 weeks I was tired and a little bit dizzy but I started to feel less depressed. After about 2 months on this medication I was feeling much better and my doctor recommended that I remain on the medication. Over the years it has ta

This medication did not work for me at all, I was moved to 30 mg, and my depression got even worse and I had to be hospitalized while they changed my medication over to Prozac.

My doctor suggested that it might take a few days before I noticed any difference when I started taking this drug. I could tell something the NEXT morning. I am concerned about long term use but it has allowed me to have a better quality of life. I recommended it to my mother's doctor when nothing else helped her anxiety. It has helped.

I take 40mg every night. I don't cry as much as I used to but then I don't really feel anything any more. The word apathy doesn't even come close to describing how I feel. I have trained myself for so long to act 'normal' but that's all it is. I've told a few doctors that this is how every day is for me and they said the medication is working. Really?
