Lowered my total cholesterol 100 points. No muscle problems or GI problems at all. I am concerned using generic because each month the pill is different. One month it is green and round, the next it is white and oval, the next it is yellow/tan and round. I have to check it every month and that gets tiresome.

The 40 mg dose of Pravastatin was effective in lowering cholesterol levels from 230 to 170. I never had any pain, but instead had problems with virtually incapacitating fatigue. Had to stop taking the drug.

No problem with Name Brand Pravachol. Had taken for years when the insurance made me to the the Generic. Extreme pain after walking any distance. Arms asleep and numb in morning. Chest and upper abdomen pain. Arms ache all day and finger ache at night. Generic I believe is life threatening. Quit for 10 days and felt a lot better. Tried again 1 night and same thing all over again, maybe worse.
