My triglycerides were a little over 200 when doctor prescribe this medicine. I didn't have that many side effects until I had a comprehensive metabolic panel of blood tests. My kidney function had deterioated that I was in Stage 3 kidney disease function. I looked up the side effects, for Diabetics this is not a good choice as it affects your kidneys! I have been on the Tricor for 9 days and yesterday I was so weak getting out of bed I fell to the floor. I have extream itching om my feet and hands. My feet and hands are now swelling up. I also now have hives on 50% of my body. My fingers are so swollen and sore that it is hard to use my hands. My feet are not much better. I also have flu like side effects (hot then cold). I took this drug for three days. On the third day I couldn't even lift my arms to use my mouse on my computer, was out of breath and just wanted to rest. My muscles ached. I quit taking it immediately.
