I moved to a new city and I needed low cost birth control. I was prescribed this because it was supposed to be similar to my previous Rx (Loestrin 24 Fe). It wasn't even close. I have been taking it for a year - giving my body plenty of time to adjust to it. It effectively kept me from getting pregnant, but I gained over 20lbs (without any major changes to my diet/exercise routine), had zero l

This was my first birth control I've ever taken. Yes all birth controls make you feel a little nausea at first but that's normal. I really liked this product. I got off for a while and the doctor put me on 1/20 hated it. My boobs hurt like crazy, I wanted to cry all.the.time. Just wasn't for me. Glad to be back on the 1.5/30. First week so far so I'll keep on the update :) but from

Started this pill after being off the pill altogether for a few years (was on Ovcon prior to that). Ovcon had since been discontinued, so Dr. put me on this because I stressed that I did not want to gain weight. After having a very bad experience with Reclipsen, I began taking Microgestin. My experience has been MUCH better on this pill. It works wonders for my severe period cramping (almost none now). Also, has regulated them well. My only complaints are slight nausea sometimes and a dip in sex drive. Overall, this birth control get an A from me and I plan to be on it for a long time.

This birth control made me a completely different person- angry, anxious, stressed, depressed. It also made me completely lose my sex drive to the point that I was ok with the thought of never having sex again for the rest of my life. It was the biggest mistake of my life to go on this.
