I started going to the dermatologist around 2 years ago and switched between antibiotics combined with birth control and a topical cream. I stopped going a year ago because my skin was fine but had my annual check up a few weeks ago and was put back on all 3 treatments (bc pill, antibiotic, topical cream). I was prescribed minocycline 2 times a day, but after one week I started to develop extreme ... Show Full Comment

I was prescribed this for my adult cystic acne after spironolactone failed to eliminate it. Didn't take long for the positive results, tho if I missed a few doses the acne would reappear. I began having stiffness in my hands, wrists and gradually migrating to my forearms and elbows. Then i noticed sores inside my mouth, blurred vision, dizziness and finally the last straw was difficulty brea ... Show Full Comment

Prescribed for acne. Worked well while i took it. But this will only work while you take it. So when you stop taking you can expect your acne to come back. Since prolonged use of antibiotics can destroy your guts microflora and also compromise you immune system, I would recomend skipping this and go straight for an effective cure such as isotretinoin. Also I got the stomach flu 2 times while takin ... Show Full Comment

I started taking this after my dermatologist prescribed it and after 2 weeks I had an allergic reaction. First started with headaches and blurry vision then I woke up with hives all over my body and my hands and feet started to swell. I went to the emergency room where they told me this drug was the cause!!! DO NOT TAKE I have never had any problems with antibiotics before but this was awful!!!

I had severe hormonal and cystic acne since the 6th grade. My family and I tried every possible known method of treating my acne naturally without any oral medication. Topical creams and gels only worked for only a short amount of time. Before my sophomore year of high school, I was prescribed Minocycline by my doctor. Thankfully, I did not experience any side effects like those listed on this rev ... Show Full Comment
