This medication has been a god send for my 86 your old mother. She was waking up in the middle of the nights with bouts of confusion and crying and pains throughout her body. Care giver for 65 year old female. It seems to be helping her feel more "normal", more than she had been. My understanding is that it helps make the patient feel less affected by swings and that is how it seems to be working for her.

As a spousal caregiver, this medication along with Aricept has been very effective. Cognitive skills, writing, alertness, sense of humor has all increased. I am very pleased with the effectiveness of this medication.
