I have been on this medication for a little over two months for bipolar depression. It has really worked with controlling the mood swings and my depression. But I am not happy with the weight gain... I have never had a problem wit my weight till I started this med. But sense starting it I have gained about 25 lbs in two months.

I have rapid cycle bipolar disorder. I have been taking the 6/50mg and it seems to help a little but not to the extent I need it to. I am going to up the dose and see what happens. I take 6mg/25mg 3 hrs before bedtime and it helps me sleep at night. At first it helped keep my mood swings under control 3 months or more now its not working so much... but am still sleeping well at night. Insurance wouldn't cover it so it cost about 400$ a month!! I also have went from 112 pounds to now 5-6 months later 150 pounds!

I've been diagnosed with both Bipolar depression (manic depression) and Major depressive disorders. As you can imagine, I have had my fair share of roller coaster ups and downs of life and have been through countless medications. However, I am AMAZED at how well I feel/am/perform with this med ...
