Currently taking 900 mg 3x a day for nerve pain from spinal cord injury. I do notice a difference when I forget to take it however, the pain is still there. It does leave me feeling tired, not sleepy but tired.

I was told this was an effective pain reliever to replace my codeine sulfate 30 mg tab. My MD has me taking 600 mg twice daily. No pain relief - stomach pain intense and all over body cramping. I'm two months into this and cannot get her to change her mind on this "anti-seizure" drug with great alternate uses. I've never had a seizure in my life.
